In the heart of downtown Spokane, a defunct five-story building has been transformed into The Roxy — a vibrant adaptive reuse that restores life to both the structure and the surrounding core.
Careful planning around existing structural grids, window openings, and building cores allowed the design team to create 21 efficient residential units, offered as a mix of short-term rentals and apartments. The project maximizes the potential of the existing framework while introducing a bold new identity.
A pop-urban aesthetic defines the interiors, with exposed steel trusses, splashes of color, and modern detailing that give the building a fresh energy. The result is a contemporary basecamp for visitors and residents alike — a project that proves how adaptive reuse can catalyze renewal downtown.
