Perched above the quiet waters of RockfordBay on Lake Coeur d’Alene, this home draws directly from the character of its site. Inspired by the owner’s passion for the network of trails weaving through the property, the design organizes itself around a central path that threads through the house. Along this axis, forest views unfold to one side while sweeping lake vistas open to the other.
An expansive glass pavilion is grounded by two solid volumes that step gently with the terrain. At the entry, board - formed concrete walls frame a rock garden, blurring the threshold between landscape and architecture. Textures and details are layered with care, allowing the house to feel deeply rooted in its natural surroundings.
