On forty acres of dry pine and scatteredgranite, this home embraces the rare opportunity to face outward in everydirection. With no single view to dominate, the design turns a full 360 degreesto the surrounding forest, allowing every room to connect with the landscape.
The clients desired a plan that felt both open and defined. A central stair and tall casework wall shape the kitchen and dining areas, creating separation while maintaining visual flow across the living spaces. To the south, an outdoor living room and breezeway divide the master wing from the public areas, framing an aperture to the forest that also serves as the home’s front door.
Mid-century lines combine with a Northwest modern sensibility, grounding the home in its place. Wood and stone, drawn directly from the surrounding landscape, anchor a design that is both contemporary and deeply tied to its setting.
