At the Washington–Idaho state line alongI-90, this 40,000-square-foot expansion establishes both a highly functional home for a growing quartz fabrication company and a striking brand presence along a regional gateway. The building consolidates all aspects of the operation — offices, showroom, receiving, fabrication, and shipping — while allowing capacity to scale quickly as the company continues to grow.
Client experience was central to the design. A glass-front showroom provides a premier, visible presence along the corridor and offers direct transparency into the production process. Large interior windows connect the showroom to the fabrication floor, giving visitors a rare glimpse of slab production — an immersive experience that turns industrial craft into part of the brand story.
To manage the scale of the building, forms are broken down into a composition of shifting volumes and heights. Quartz cladding panels convey weight and permanence while showcasing the material’s versatility in architectural application. Toward the fabrication hall, glazing transitions from clear to translucent polygal, daylighting the interior and elevating the work environment for staff.
More than a facility, the project sets atone for future development along the industrial corridor: a place where craft and commerce are made visible, and where function and brand presence align.
